"How would you like an extra $10k in revenue a month?"
I met Joshua Roy, Owner of Prestige Lawn & Tree Care, a local landscaping company in Stroudsburg, PA; when I joined a BNI chapter in our area. We didn't immediately work together, but I think He would've done so sooner, if He knew the results he would get!
Often times, I find that potential clients are hesitant to invest their hard earned money into video production for several reasons, but it usually comes down to a single fact... They don't trust that it will pay off. When business profit margins or even the available funds are tight, this can become a tough hurdle to get over and that goes for any business owner. Joshua was willing to take a chance working with Seymour Mac Productions, but it took a little convincing.
I have said it before and I will repeat here, "I hate sales!"... but I love talking to people. Throughout our discussions, I listened to Joshua and tried to understand what challenges were plaguing his business. What I heard was: "I am really busy, but with low paying jobs." I don't think I am alone in wanting to work less and make more money. When service based businesses like landscapers, builders, painters, etc. are really busy, but are barely able to turn a profit, it's because they aren't attracting high paying clients. We either need to raise our prices or appeal to higher paying clients.
How do we attract higher paying clients? And how did we do this for Prestige Lawn & Tree Care?
Attracting higher paying clients can seem challenging but it often comes down to speaking to their pain points and providing a solution to their problems. We also want to provide this solution with reasonable pricing compared to value. This doesn't mean a raise to the bottom in regard to price positioning. It means providing a high value service or product and presenting it in an engaging way, that resonates with the potential client.
For Prestige Lawn & Tree Care, we quickly understood that attracting more small residential lawn maintenance customers wasn't going to help them hit their goal. We needed to highlight a higher end service that they already provided, but needed to attract more of. We knew what to do next!
The Project: "Crafting Excellence"
The project we finally created with Prestige highlighted high-end hardscaping projects and targeted likely customers. We wanted to do several things with this one video:
Attract higher end clients.
Eliminate low ballers.
Promote the ideals of the Prestige brand.
Get more eyeballs on Joshua's company.
It seems that we were able to provide everything Joshua expected from working with us!
The Result
The results speak for themselves. I will summarize in words but I find that it's best to hear it directly from the client.
Joshua invested $5,000 into this video with us. Without spending a single dollar on marketing (and we know when He does, it will 100X these results), Prestige Lawn & Tree Care has generated $50,000 in only 5 months. Again, without any marketing dollars spent and with minimal social media engagement, Prestige saw a massive video return on investment.
